ApnaMart started with a vision to offer an unparalleled shopping experience to tier 2+ India. A very modern shopping experience where they can choose quality products from varied assortments, add them to a shopping basket, check out at the front counter, pay cash/digitally and also give them the option to do the same thing online from the comfort of their homes through our mobile App! We are building a scalable, asset-light chain of neighborhood supermarts. We focus on bringing competitive pricing, varied assortment, and consistent customer experience coupled with the trust and personal connection of a neighborhood kirana.
We’ve come a long way from our first store to 100+ stores and 1 lac+ monthly customers. It has been an overwhelming journey! And now, we are considering scaling up at an even more incredible pace. The target is 1000+ stores in the next year. Fingers crossed!

What does technology do?

At ApnaMart, We are reimagining the retail stack building products that help to scale, control and drive retail operations from warehouse to store to the end customer. Systems like warehouse management and point of sale softwares help in driving the day to day operations, whereas intelligent pricing and inventory models provide the necessary controls essential to guarantee a 5 star experience for the end customer.
At the heart of our product lies a simple philosophy, to add value to the life of the end user and simplify the day to day working of each and every stakeholder. Various apps from warehouse, franchisee partner, delivery partners and the end customer, we focus on providing seamless user experience. And we do all this while planning for a scale capable of taking these systems Pan India.

Job Description

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer at our startup, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products to our customers. In addition to technical expertise, you will need excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage people effectively.

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases for our backend, frontend, and Android applications.
• Conduct thorough testing and identify bugs, defects, and performance issues in our software products.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and project requirements.
• Prioritize and manage multiple testing tasks efficiently, while ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of software releases.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for any reported bugs and work towards avoiding similar issues in future releases.
• Continuously explore and implement industry best practices, tools, and techniques to improve the overall QA process.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to enhance the software development lifecycle and promote a quality-first mindset.
• Document and communicate test results, progress, and any potential risks or issues to stakeholders.

Requirements

We are on the course of building a team of the smartest people, who are driven by a purpose and want to work in a fast-paced environment. An ideal candidate for this role is someone who has:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in QA/testing roles, preferably in a software development environment.
• Strong proficiency in testing backend, frontend, and Android applications.
• In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Proven experience in designing and writing test cases that cover functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Ability to understand user needs, prioritize tasks, and manage resources effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and the ability to work closely with developers to ensure high-quality releases.
• Experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
• Knowledge of performance testing and security testing methodologies.
