Illume Labs is a private company developing bladder-sensing products that allow individuals suffering from bladder uncertainty to regain toileting independence. The product is worn by users to provide real-time bladder updates and toilet alerts, allowing for proactive washroom planning while avoiding nasty accidents. Designed to be comfortable, easy-to-use, and economical, we are developing product to serve a wide consumer market.

As Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder, you will help realize our vision by taking ownership of critical activities such as investment exploration, market sizing, financial modelling, and team growth.

What are we working on right now?

• Current Founder is based in Toronto, Ontario
• All design and business development work currently done in-house
• Illume Labs Inc. is incorporated as a CCPC
• MVP development underway and will be completed by end of quarter
• Initiated conversations with investors and other funding parties
• Constructing expert panel of advisors

Where are we going in the next 4 months?

• Onboard co-founder on equity basis to take ownership of business development and to explore funding. Aiming to transition to a salaried position after raising first round of capital.
• File for IP protection of core technology and establish Freedom to Operate
• Launch crowdfunding campaign to collect pre-sales to facilitate investment
• Raise Seed round investment
• Lock down key players/first employees to fill knowledge gaps

What characteristics and skills do you bring?

• You are ambitious, grounded, strategic, and open to learning with a demonstrated ability to implement innovative strategies that decrease risk and Time to Market
• You have an MBA or equivalent experience
• You have previous experience in early-stage startups (ideally selling hardware) and have raised early capital and implemented business structures
• You are a Canadian Resident per Canadian-Controlled Private Corporation guidelines
• You are willing to make a full-time commitment as we accelerate the business and gather investment
