Backend Developer – Integrations & Automation

What You'll Do

You'll work across our products and internal systems, with a primary focus on building integrations for our Logistics and Payouts platforms.

1. Build & Maintain Integrations

• Build integrations with shipping aggregators, courier companies, payment gateways, and payout providers.
• Work with third-party APIs, webhooks, authentication, and data synchronization.
• Develop reusable integration components to make future integrations faster.
• Monitor existing integrations, troubleshoot failures, and maintain reliability.
• Handle API limitations, retries, rate limits, and error scenarios.

2. Build Workflows & Automations

• Design and develop automated workflows connecting multiple systems.
• Build event-driven processes, scheduled jobs, and background workers.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using APIs, scripts, and workflow tools.
• Improve existing workflows to reduce manual intervention.

3. Own Small Internal Projects

• Independently build internal tools, utilities, dashboards, and lightweight backend services.
• Work directly with business and product teams to understand problems and ship solutions.
• Take projects from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Identify opportunities where simple automation can save significant time.

What We're Looking For

Must Have

• 2–5 years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and API authentication.
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with queues, background jobs, retries, and error handling.
• Ability to debug integration failures independently.
• Experience deploying and maintaining backend services.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools to accelerate development.

Good to Have

• Experience integrating logistics providers, shipping APIs, payment gateways, or payout systems.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Make, or Zapier.
• Familiarity with Shopify APIs.
• Experience with Redis, BullMQ, or similar queue systems.
• Understanding of reconciliation, settlements, and transaction workflows.
