Financial Associate

PeakTew is a social media app aiming to connect more people with the real world. Our team consists of passionate individuals from over a dozen different countries. This offer is aimed at those willing to take part in a startup project in their free time to learn more about the professional world and gain international work experience. This implies being ready to commit some time every week to the project.

We are currently looking for a motivated Financial Associate to play a key role in shaping the start-up’s financial strategy, optimizing resources, and supporting sustainable growth.

Your missions:

• Oversee financial strategy, ensuring profitability, sustainability, and growth.
• Manage full-cycle financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow, and forecasting.
• Safeguard tax compliance, regulatory adherence, and risk management (U.S. tax regulations, financial laws, and corporate governance standards)
• Optimize cost structures, monitor key financial metrics, and drive efficiency.
• Support fundraising, investor relations, financial modelling, and strategic decision-making.

Regarding compensation: This is currently an unpaid opportunity as PeakTew is a student-led startup project that is not yet generating revenue. This role is mainly suited for students or individuals looking to gain international experience, practical skills, and exposure to working in a startup environment.

Competencies required:

• Develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow to ensure financial stability.
• Ensure adherence to U.S. tax laws, GAAP, and corporate governance.
• Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
• Develop financial models, prepare investor reports, and negotiate funding deals.
• An autonomous mindset (ability to have excellent communication and teamwork)
