Job Description:

Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Missouri (Onsite at Kansas City or Jefferson City Office)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with 5-7 years of hands-on development experience to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development expertise, experience with modern Java frameworks, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and related technologies.

• Lead technical design discussions and promote best practices in software development.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Troubleshoot complex application issues and identify performance improvements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making.

Must-Have Skills

• 5-7 years of experience in Java development and enterprise application design.

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.

• Experience with front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Tomcat, Spring Data JPA, Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native deployments, and DevOps practices.

• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, API security, and secure coding standards.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering practices.

• Exposure to mobile application development, app deployment, or technologies such as Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose is a plus.
