Solution Architect

Job Profile:
Digit88 is seeking a Solution Architect to act as the design authority for enterprise customer
implementations. You will translate business objectives into scalable solution designs and provide technical
governance from discovery through go-live.
In this role you will shape the technical approach, resolve cross-system decisions and ensure that customer
requirements can be delivered without compromising platform integrity. The role is customer-facing,
pragmatic and accountable for technical readiness rather than slideware alone.
This role sits at the heart of our Conversational AI practice. Our customers are consumer-facing brands
running contact center and digital engagement at scale, and they will look to you as the subject-matter
expert on how Conversational AI is designed, integrated and operated in production.

Responsibilities:
● Lead technical discovery and convert business outcomes into architecture, integration and non
functional requirements.
● Act as the customer-facing subject-matter expert on Conversational AI and CCaaS, building
credibility with customer stakeholders from day one.
● Architect Conversational AI solutions across voice, messaging and digital channels using
ElevenLabs, OpenAI and Strands.
● Design multimodal and multithreaded interaction flows that hold up on latency, concurrency and
state management at production scale.
● Define solution boundaries, data flows, security patterns, environments and integration
approaches.
● Define integration patterns between Java/Spring Boot backend services and Python-based
AI/MLOps modules on AWS.
● Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, interface contracts and implementation
guardrails.
● Review technical designs and criticalchanges;identify risks before they reach testing or production.
● Formulate multi-option solution blueprints that clearly detail trade-offs, implementation complexity
and strategic alignment.
● Guide Customer Engineers and Product Engineers through difficult tradeoffs and escalations.
● Maintain technical governance across concurrent implementations and reusable product patterns.
● Own architecture and technical approval, delegating implementation execution to Customer
Engineers while remaining available for reviews and escalations.
● Partner with Product Engineering on reusable capabilities, without committing roadmap scope
outside product approval.

● Solutions are technically feasible, scalable, secure and supportable before implementation begins.
● Material design decisions are documented and understood by customer and internal teams.
● Integration and non-functional risks surfaced early, with credible mitigation plans.
● Measured by solution quality, technical readiness, design rework, production stability and
stakeholder confidence.

Requirements:
● Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
● Experience: 8+ years in enterprise software delivery, including 3+ years in solution or integration
architecture.
● Proven hands-on experience designing and delivering Conversational AI solutions in production.
● Strong hands-on proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, required for all client-facing and backend
work.
● Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, required for all AI and MLOps work.
● Hands-on experience architecting on AWS with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL; working familiarity
with React-based frontends.
● Experience integrating LLMs (e.g., OpenAI) and Voice AI platforms (e.g., ElevenLabs) into
production systems.
● Experience designing multimodal (voice, text, digital) and multithreaded/concurrent systems.
● Deep experience with APIs, event-driven integration, identity, cloud architecture, data design and
production operations.
● Strong command of security patterns, environment strategy and non-functional requirements
across enterprise deployments.
● Ability to lead customer workshops and explain complex decisions to executives and engineers.
● Track record designing systems that moved successfully from discovery into production.

Good to have:
● Hands-on experience with consumer-facing CCaaS tools (Messaging, Digital AI and/or Voice AI).
This is a huge advantage, as it lets you get hands-on immediately and be seen as an SME by
customers.
● Experience with Strands Agents or similar agentic decision-making frameworks.
● Salesforce, Genesys Cloud or enterprise CX architecture experience.
● AI system design covering retrieval, model evaluation, guardrails, observability and human
escalation.
● Experience in security-sensitive or regulated environments.
