SENIOR AZURE AI SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT ENGINEER

About the Role

Neotrix Systems is looking for a senior, hands-on architect and engineer to shape and deliver enterprise AI capabilities on Microsoft Azure. The role combines architecture decisions with implementation, particularly for document understanding, enterprise knowledge search, RAG, summarization, data extraction, and AI-enabled workflows. The successful candidate will help move ideas from prototype to secure, maintainable production services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess business needs and design Azure-based Generative AI solutions that fit existing enterprise systems and data environments.

• Build knowledge retrieval and RAG workflows using Azure AI Search, embeddings, semantic and vector retrieval, and appropriate document-processing techniques.

• Develop AI features for document classification, summarization, question answering, and extraction of structured information.

• Connect AI services to business applications, APIs, databases, and document stores while respecting existing user permissions.

• Create prototypes, test solution quality, and support deployment, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ongoing improvement.

• Apply identity controls, secrets handling, monitoring, logging, and security practices; establish repeatable evaluation and responsible AI checks.

• Document reusable design patterns and guide technical team members through implementation and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, AI, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Substantial experience delivering enterprise cloud, software, or data solutions, including solution design and hands-on engineering.

• Practical experience with Azure AI services, LLM applications, Generative AI, and RAG using enterprise data.

• Programming experience in Python and/or Java, plus REST APIs, SDKs, prompt design, embeddings, vector search, grounding, and AI testing.

• Understanding of Azure architecture and security, including Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities, Key Vault, networking, storage, monitoring, and logging.

• Ability to take AI capabilities from prototype to production and explain technical decisions clearly; Azure AI Document Intelligence or Copilot Studio experience is an advantage.
