AI Developer / Revit Automation Specialist

About the Role
We are hiring an AI Developer / Revit Automation Specialist to design and build intelligent automation software for a U.S.-based interior design firm. This is a builder role — you will write the software yourself.

You must have hands-on Autodesk Revit experience on real architectural or interior design projects AND proven experience developing AI or automation systems with your own code. Applications with only Revit drafting experience, or only AI/software experience without Revit, will not be shortlisted.

Your first mission: develop a custom AI-powered system that automates large portions of Revit plan creation (lighting, plumbing, elevations), reducing workflows that currently take 2–3 hours per plan down to minutes.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze Revit-based interior design workflows and identify automation opportunities
• Build AI-powered systems that automate repetitive Revit documentation (lighting, plumbing, elevations)
• Develop automation using the Revit API, Dynamo, and related tools (families, parameters, views, sheets, schedules)
• Implement AI/ML features with LLMs, computer vision, and proprietary design data
• Design, build, and maintain custom software, APIs, integrations, and databases
• Create a client-facing project portal with dashboards, project tracking, WhatsApp integration, and status notifications (secondary project)
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience in both AI/software development and Revit/BIM workflows (4+ years preferred)
• Autodesk Revit expertise on real projects
• Strong knowledge of Revit elements: families, views, sheets, parameters, annotations, schedules, design constraints
• Experience developing AI-powered applications or automation systems
• Familiarity with AI APIs, LLMs, or machine learning systems
• Custom software development (not just no-code tools)
• API design and third-party integrations
• Database management and workflow automation design
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and own projects end-to-end

Nice to Have

• Revit API or plugin development
• Dynamo scripting or other Revit automation tools
• Autodesk APIs or BIM software experience
• Programming skills: Python, C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript
• AI agents or AI-assisted workflow systems
• LLM API experience (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
• Computer vision or document/drawing information extraction
• Model training/fine-tuning with proprietary data
• SaaS application or client portal development
• WhatsApp/communication platform API integration
• Cloud infrastructure and database experience
• CAD/BIM data processing
• Workflow automation in architecture, engineering, interior design, or construction
