Job Description

We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to work on an AI training and evaluation project with a leading technology company.

In this role, you will use your software engineering expertise to create realistic coding problems, evaluate AI-generated solutions, and build reliable tests and verification systems. Your work will help improve the ability of next-generation AI models to understand, write, debug, and evaluate software.

No prior AI or machine learning experience is required. We are primarily looking for strong software engineering fundamentals and real-world development experience.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic and challenging coding tasks involving feature development, bug fixes, debugging, and software maintenance
• Work with backend codebases and production-style engineering scenarios
• Develop deterministic verifiers and automated tests to evaluate coding solutions
• Design test cases covering expected behavior, edge cases, and failure scenarios
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, reliability, and code quality
• Identify bugs, performance issues, and incorrect implementations
• Debug and improve existing software
• Refactor code and implement complex features when required
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure reliable and maintainable solutions

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience in software engineering or backend development

• Strong experience with one or more programming languages such as:

  • Java
  • Python
  • JavaScript / Node.js
  • TypeScript
  • Go
  • Rust
  • C++
  • or similar languages

• Experience building backend services, APIs, or scalable software systems

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Experience with automated testing

• Strong understanding of software development best practices

• Experience reviewing code and identifying implementation issues

• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and computer science fundamentals

• Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts clearly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large or complex codebases
• Experience building or maintaining large automated test suites
• Strong QA or Software Quality Engineering background
• Experience designing testing strategies
• Experience diagnosing flaky tests
• Experience with integration, unit, or end-to-end testing
• Experience with performance optimization and debugging
• Experience with code refactoring
• Experience building scalable distributed systems or backend infrastructure
