Job Overview
GramTarang Technologies is seeking a skilled CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE Design Engineer to support advanced engineering and 3D CAD design activities for a prestigious engineering programme in New Delhi. The role involves developing 3D models based on engineering inputs, design parameters, and specifications, while working closely with customer engineering teams in an onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate 3D CAD models using CATIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
Interpret and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications.
Create and modify 3D parts, assemblies, and engineering models using appropriate CATIA workbenches.
Perform design modifications and incorporate engineering/customer feedback.
Ensure models adhere to design standards, modelling practices, and project requirements.
Maintain design revisions and model versions within the 3DEXPERIENCE environment.
Generate and maintain engineering documentation, reports, and model-related records.
Review models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design parameters.
Support design reviews, technical discussions, and customer presentations.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and status updates for customer review.
Coordinate with senior engineers and customer teams to clarify design requirements.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in design inputs through technical clarifications.
Follow data security, confidentiality, and document control protocols.
Collaborate effectively as part of an onsite engineering team.

Mandatory Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with CATIA on the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
Proficiency in 3D part modelling, assembly design, and CATIA functionalities.
Ability to create 3D models from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong understanding of engineering design principles and CAD practices.
Experience with design modifications, model revisions, and engineering changes.
Familiarity with 3DEXPERIENCE collaborative engineering workflows.
Basic knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing conventions (preferred).
Understanding of product structure, assembly hierarchy, and design data management (preferred).

Qualifications
Essential: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
3–6 years of professional experience with at least 2 years of hands-on CAD/design engineering.
Practical experience working with CATIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.

Preferred Industry Experience
Hands-on design experience in:
Shipbuilding / Marine Engineering
Naval / Defence Engineering
Aerospace / Aircraft
Automotive / Heavy Engineering
Industrial Machinery / Complex Mechanical Systems
Experience with large assemblies, complex mechanical structures, or equipment integration.
Direct interaction with engineering/customer teams in controlled project environments.

Additional Skills & Requirements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in 3D modelling.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prepare and present technical information to customers.
Proficiency in documentation and report writing.
Capable of working independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet timelines.
Willingness to work full-time onsite at the customer/project location in New Delhi.
