QA Intern | Black-Box Testing

Tutcart is hiring two QA interns to test our product and help us catch problems before they reach users. If you enjoy figuring out why something isn't working and can explain it clearly, we'd like to hear from you.

You'll focus on manual, black-box testing: checking how the product behaves without needing access to the source code. That means trying real user journeys, looking beyond the obvious cases and documenting what you find.

• Openings: 2
• Location: Remote worldwide. Applicants outside India are welcome. Working onsite in Delhi NCR is also an option.
• Compensation: This is an unpaid internship with no salary or stipend.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required.
• Schedule: Start date, duration, weekly hours and any time-zone overlap will be agreed during selection.

What you'll do

• Write test cases and checklists from product requirements and user journeys.
• Test everyday actions as well as invalid inputs, boundary values and less obvious scenarios.
• Run functional, exploratory, smoke and regression tests.
• Check forms, error messages and layouts across browsers and screen sizes.
• Log bugs with clear steps to reproduce, expected and actual results, and screenshots or recordings where useful.
• Retest fixes and explain which issues have the greatest impact on users.

What we're looking for

You pay attention to detail, follow a problem through and keep useful notes. You can describe an issue clearly enough for someone else to reproduce it, and you're comfortable asking questions when the expected behaviour is unclear.

Basic knowledge of manual testing is helpful, whether you've picked it up through coursework, personal projects or self-study. Students, recent graduates and people starting out in QA are welcome to apply.

Familiarity with bug trackers, browser developer tools, boundary-value analysis or equivalence partitioning is a plus. Coding and automation experience are not required.

What you'll learn by doing

You'll practise turning requirements into test cases, investigating unexpected behaviour and writing bug reports developers can act on. You'll also see how fixes are checked and how regression testing helps prevent old problems from returning.
