Frontend Software Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA
Work setup: On-site, 5 days per week
Compensation: $175K to $225K base + equity
Employment type: Full-time

We are hiring a Frontend Software Engineer for a fast-growing AI startup building complex, data-heavy products used by real customers.

You will own frontend features end-to-end, work closely with product and users, and build polished production experiences in a high-ownership startup environment.

What you’ll do

• Build and ship production features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Own features from problem definition through deployment and iteration
• Build complex, data-heavy interfaces and workflows
• Work closely with backend engineers, product teams, and users
• Improve frontend architecture, performance, and reliability
• Translate ambiguous customer problems into scalable product solutions
• Contribute across the stack when needed

What we’re looking for

• 3 to 6 years of frontend or product engineering experience
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript
• Experience with Next.js or similar modern frontend frameworks
• Proven experience shipping products used by real customers
• Strong 0-to-1 product ownership
• Experience at a high-growth or venture-backed startup
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a strong university program
• Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days per week

Nice to have

• Python or FastAPI experience
• PostgreSQL or AWS exposure
• Experience with AI or LLM-powered products
• Data-heavy UI experience
• Strong side projects, hackathons, or open-source work
