About the role

Troopod is an AI-native ecommerce growth agency working with D2C brands like Tanusk, Diorex, Well-being Nutrition, Essor, Titan, and Bombay Shaving Company, among hundreds of others, across India, UK, and USA. We're scaling fast, and we need someone to independently own our finance operations, end to end, with minimal hand-holding.

This is not a role where you'll be shadowing someone for six months. You'll own invoicing and collections from day one, you'll be the person our CA firm calls, and you'll have visibility into how a scaling agency actually manages cash. If you want structure, a clear playbook, and someone checking your work daily, this isn't the right fit. If you want real ownership early in your career, it is.

What you'll do

1. Own end-to-end invoicing for all client accounts — raising, tracking, and following up
2. Drive collections independently, including direct follow-up with clients on overdue payments
3. Track and report cash flow on a regular cadence to the CEO
4. Be the primary point of coordination with our CA firm for compliance, filings, and financial reporting
5. Maintain clean, accurate financial records and reconcile discrepancies proactively
6. Coordinate internal interview scheduling for open roles across the company
7. Draft and issue offer letters and related hiring documentation
8. Flag risks early — a slow-paying client, a compliance deadline, a cash crunch — before they become problems

What we're looking for

1. 1-2 years of experience in finance operations, accounts, or a similar function
2. Comfortable initiating and holding firm in payment follow-up conversations with clients
3. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for tracking and reporting
4. Organized enough to manage invoicing, collections, and HR-admin tasks without things falling through the cracks
5. Background in accounting/commerce (B.Com or similar) preferred but not mandatory — we care more about ownership and reliability than credentials
6. Comfortable working remotely and reporting directly to leadership with minimal daily oversight
7. Clear written communication — you'll be drafting offer letters and following up with clients directly
