Embedded Hardware Engineer

We are looking for an Embedded Hardware Engineer to design reliable control, sensor-interface and communication electronics capable of operating in high-shock, high-vibration and electrically noisy vehicle environments.

Responsibilities
Develop embedded controller and interface-board architectures.
Select processors, microcontrollers, memories and peripheral devices.
Design interfaces for encoders, gyros, IMUs, motor drives and discrete signals.
Develop Ethernet, CAN, RS-422, UART, SPI and I²C hardware interfaces.
Design isolated digital and analogue input/output circuits.
Create schematics, component selections, PCB requirements and design documentation.
Review PCB placement, routing, grounding, shielding and signal integrity.
Perform component derating, worst-case analysis and power-budget calculations.
Design protection against ESD, surge, reverse polarity and electrical transients.
Conduct board bring-up, debugging and environmental testing.
Support EMC/EMI troubleshooting and design improvements.
Coordinate with firmware, power-electronics, harness and mechanical teams.
