We are looking for a hands-on control engineer to design, simulate, implement and tune the azimuth and elevation stabilization system. The role covers the complete control chain—from system modelling and sensor selection to real-time implementation and vehicle testing.
Responsibilities
Develop the control architecture for two-axis azimuth and elevation stabilization.
Model motors, drives, geartrains, payload inertia, friction, backlash and structural flexibility.
Design cascaded current, velocity, position and stabilization control loops.
Develop gyro-rate feedback, feed-forward control and disturbance-rejection algorithms.
Define bandwidth, settling time, overshoot, tracking accuracy and stabilization-error budgets.
Select and evaluate gyros, IMUs, encoders and other feedback sensors.
Develop calibration, bias compensation, filtering and coordinate-transformation algorithms.
Analyse control-loop stability, gain margin, phase margin and sensitivity.
Build MATLAB/Simulink models and support real-time code implementation.
Tune the system on bench rigs, rate tables and vehicle platforms.
Investigate oscillation, jitter, resonance, backlash and pointing errors.
Work closely with embedded software, motor-drive, mechanical and CAE teams.
