About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) Intern to support our outbound sales and lead generation efforts.
This is a hands-on role focused on identifying potential customers, researching companies and decision-makers, building high-quality prospect lists, and supporting outreach across LinkedIn and email.
You’ll work closely with the founding team and get practical exposure to B2B sales, prospecting, and GTM for technology services.
Key Responsibilities
- Research companies that match our ideal customer profile.
- Identify relevant decision-makers such as Founders, CTOs, VP Engineering, Heads of Engineering, HR Leaders, and Talent Acquisition teams.
- Build and maintain structured prospect and lead lists.
- Research hiring activity, company growth, funding, and other relevant buying signals.
- Find and verify business contact information.
- Support outbound campaigns across LinkedIn and email.
- Personalize outreach based on company and prospect research.
- Track outreach, responses, follow-ups, and lead status.
- Maintain accurate prospect data in CRM and sales trackers.
- Experiment with different prospecting approaches to improve response rates.
- Support the team with other sales and GTM initiatives when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong research and internet skills.
- Good written English and communication skills.
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and researching companies online.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working with spreadsheets and structured data.
- Curious about B2B sales, startups, technology, and business development.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned targets.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, CRM tools, or email outreach tools is a plus, but not mandatory.
What You’ll Learn
- B2B prospecting and outbound sales.
- How to identify ICPs, buyer personas, and buying signals.
- LinkedIn and email-based lead generation.
- Building and managing a B2B sales pipeline.
- How technology consulting and technology hiring services are sold to businesses.
- Working directly with a startup founding team.
Who Should Apply
Students or recent graduates interested in Business Development, B2B Sales, Growth, or GTM who want hands-on experience rather than a purely observational internship.
PPO Opportunity: Exceptional performers may be offered a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) for a full-time role at ProfoundIQ based on their performance during the internship.
Internship Type: Full-time
Duration: 3–6 months
