Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview
This is not just a testing role. This is a product-focused quality role responsible for ensuring that features, workflows, and releases meet quality standards before going live.
As Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Support, and Operations teams to test product modules, identify defects, validate workflows, and support release readiness. You will help ensure that customer-facing features are stable, usable, and aligned with business requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. QA Strategy & Team Management

• Lead the QA function across product modules and releases.
• Manage QA Engineers, testing plans, priorities, and execution timelines.
• Build structured QA processes, checklists, and quality standards.
• Drive a culture of automation, continuous testing, and quality ownership across Engineering and Product teams.

B. Release Quality & Testing Governance

• Ensure adequate test coverage, defect tracking, regression testing, and QA sign-off before releases.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure requirements are test-ready and quality risks are addressed.
• Monitor release quality metrics and reduce escaped defects.
• Define and maintain automated regression suites for critical product workflows and releases.

C. AI & Test Automation

• Drive the adoption of AI-powered testing and test automation to improve QA efficiency, coverage, and release confidence.
• Identify opportunities to use AI for test case generation, test data creation, regression testing, defect analysis, and test maintenance.
• Build, enhance, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, and critical product workflows.
• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted QA tools and solutions to reduce repetitive manual testing and improve testing speed.
• Explore AI-based approaches for identifying potential defects, analysing failure patterns, and prioritising high-risk test scenarios.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and enable continuous testing.

D. Customer Support & Operations Quality Linkage

• Work with Customer Support and Operations teams to capture recurring product issues and customer feedback.
• Ensure support tickets, escalations, and operational pain points are analysed for product quality improvement.
• Identify recurring defects and convert them into automated regression scenarios wherever applicable.
• Feed issue trends and quality insights back into QA and Product teams for corrective action.

E. Continuous Improvement & Reporting

• Prepare QA dashboards, defect summaries, automation metrics, and release quality reports.
• Identify recurring issue patterns and drive root-cause-based quality improvements.
• Track automation coverage, test execution efficiency, escaped defects, and release quality metrics.
• Continuously improve QA processes, automation frameworks, and AI-assisted testing practices.
• Improve QA efficiency, release confidence, and cross-functional quality discipline.
