About the job
About
Ekahal is a Think Studio focused on three key areas - Technology, Marketing, and Design.
We focus on being problem solvers instead of just project executors.
We're looking for someone to be an extension of that philosophy.
About the Role
Quality is the last line of defence before something goes live. We're looking for a UAT Tester who takes that seriously - someone who can jump into a project at any stage, understand what's supposed to work, and methodically find what doesn't.
You'll be testing across websites, web apps, and mobile applications for a wide range of clients. Some projects you'll be involved in from the start, reviewing requirements and flagging issues early. Others you'll step into at the end for final sign-off. Either way, you own the quality bar.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
Write clear, structured test cases based on project requirements. Execute them thoroughly and document what you find - not just what broke, but how, when, and under what conditions.
Cross-Platform Testing
Test across websites (WordPress, Shopify, custom builds), web applications, and mobile apps (iOS and Android). You're comfortable switching between environments and know what to look for in each.
Bug Reporting
Log bugs with enough detail that developers can reproduce and fix them without back-and-forth. Screenshots, steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behaviour - you don't leave gaps.
Regression Testing
After fixes are in, you go back and check. You make sure the fix didn't break something else.
Collaboration
Work closely with developers and project managers to understand scope, flag risks early, and communicate blockers clearly. You're not just at the end of the pipeline - you're part of it.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
Must-Have:
- 1-3 years of experience in QA or UAT testing across web and/or mobile projects
- Ability to write structured test cases and test plans from requirements or design specs
- Comfortable with browser developer tools - inspecting elements, reading console errors, checking network requests
- Strong eye for detail - UI inconsistencies, broken flows, edge cases
- Clear written communication - your bug reports should speak for themselves
- Familiarity with task or project management tools (ClickUp, Jira, or similar)
Good-to-Have:
- Experience testing on both iOS and Android devices
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS - enough to identify where something's gone wrong
- Exposure to API testing (Postman or similar)
- Experience working in an agency environment across multiple concurrent projects
What We're Looking For in You
- Thoroughness: You don't just test the happy path. You poke at edge cases, try to break things, and think like a user who doesn't read instructions.
- Ownership: You're not done when you've filed the bug. You follow through until the issue is resolved and verified.
- Clarity: You communicate issues in a way that's useful - not vague, not dramatic, just clear.
- Adaptability: Every project is different. You can pick up new tools, new flows, and new requirements without needing hand-holding.
