Are you right for this role?

Must-Have Attributes

• Minimum experience of 2 years as a software engineer in a VC funded, Series A tech startup (including internships)
• Highly proficient with TypeScript + MERN stack — MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js
• Experience with both relational (MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases
• Built event driven systems in production handling 1M+ events daily (BullMQ, SQS, Kafka, or similar).
• Power user of AI tools for regular coding
• Based in/willing to relocate to Mumbai immediately
• Available to start in less than 45 days

Good-to-Have Attributes

• Working knowledge of Python for scripting or backend tasks
• Built applications using foundational models such as Gemini or GPT.
• Integrated LLMs into production products using Gemini, GPT or similar model
• Exposure to data science libraries such as Pandas or NumPy
• Experience at a company that is an ecommerce tech startup or lending fintech
• Did at least 6 months of internships while in college
• Degree in Computer Science with a GPA of 7.0 or higher

Overview of the Job
This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership over product features and the underlying tech stack.

• Build, test, and ship features across the full stack
• Work closely with the product and design team to translate requirements into clean, scalable code
• Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews
• Maintain and improve platform performance and reliability
• Support integrations with third-party platforms and APIs
