THE POSITION

LendingTree is hiring a Senior Manager, Engineering Operations & PMO to lead the team of agile project managers/delivery leads who support our engineering organization and own the operating rhythm that keeps the organization aligned and delivering predictably.

This highly cross-functional role blends people leadership, program management, and organizational operations. You’ll oversee delivery planning and prioritization, turn delivery and team-health signals into action, strengthen engineering processes, and partner closely with Technology, Product, Program Management, Analytics, and Finance. You’ll also help drive organizational engagement, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across Technology.

Success in this role requires strong relationship-building, sound judgment, and the ability to turn complex or scattered inputs into clear priorities, decisions, and actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of agile project managers/delivery leads supporting engineering teams across the organization.
  • Own the engineering organization’s delivery planning and governance rhythm, including monthly goal-setting, delivery reviews, predictability tracking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Lead recurring prioritization processes with senior technology and business leaders, maintaining clear organizational priorities and surfacing capacity constraints, dependencies, and trade-offs.
  • Synthesize delivery performance, team-health insights, and feedback into clear actions and escalations, partnering with technical leaders to address risks and improve team effectiveness.
  • Identify gaps and recurring pain points in engineering delivery and operating processes, and lead cross-functional improvements that make the organization more effective and easier to work within.
  • Build strong relationships across Technology, Product, Program Management, Analytics, Finance, and other business functions to improve alignment, prioritization, and execution.
  • Manage relationships with staffing and contracting partners, maintaining visibility into contractor capacity, allocation, and contributions across the organization.
  • Drive technology-wide engagement and knowledge-sharing programs, including technical deep dives, AI-enablement sessions, and quarterly technology showcases.
  • Support long-term initiative planning and prioritization, including advocating for technology investments that improve efficiency, automation, and engineering capacity.
  • Partner with Finance on technology budget management and provide support for software capitalization processes.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of how engineering operating processes work day to day and how they impact partner teams, using those insights to continuously improve how the organization operates.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering operations, or a related role, including experience leading project managers, delivery leads, or similar teams.
  • Proven experience building and leading delivery governance, planning, and prioritization processes for a multi-team engineering organization.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of coaching, developing, and enabling high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional facilitation and cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment and decisions among senior engineering, product, business, and finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to use delivery data, team feedback, and organizational signals to identify risks, surface trade-offs, and make actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Track record of identifying and driving organization-wide process improvements in a fast-moving technology environment.
  • Experience managing external vendors, contractors, or staffing partners.
  • Experience with agile/scrum delivery frameworks and program management tools such as Jira or Asana preferred.
  • Familiarity with technology budgeting, software capitalization, or similar financial planning processes preferred.
  • Experience in fintech, lending, insurance, or another regulated financial services environment preferred.

Perks

401k matching
While we’d love people to work here forever, you really should plan for the days after your retirement party. To help the Company will match 50% of your 401K contributions into our plan up to the first 6%.
Unlimited PTO
Yes, we are all adults here! This doesn’t mean you can take off all the work days in months with an “r”. It means we all know that we need to get our work done and keep our bosses happy, even while we take some time off work.
Catered lunches (Charlotte office)
What’s better than the craft table at a movie shoot? OK that may be a bit of an oversell since you probably won’t meet any movie stars at our lunches…but it’s just $3!
In house gym and trainers
Who has time for a workout? We do, especially when our personal trainer offers classes – before, during and after work hours. We even have two workout rooms in the Charlotte office.
Innovative work environment
This one should be obvious as you learn more about LendingTree. What other company includes the things we’ve listed in their recruiting site?
Cash bonuses
We are not talking about a “participation ribbon” for showing up! We pay cash bonuses twice a year to all our employees when we hit our goals for a quarter.
