Automation Test Engineer (WebdriverIO & Appium)

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with 4–6 years of overall QA experience and 2–4 years of hands-on experience in WebdriverIO (WDIO) using JavaScript/TypeScript and Appium. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in web and mobile automation, manual testing, API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. The candidate should be capable of working independently, proactively clarifying requirements, and delivering high-quality automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using WebdriverIO (WDIO) with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Perform mobile automation testing using Appium for Android and iOS applications.
• Execute manual, functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks.
• Perform web automation and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Execute REST API testing and validate backend services.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Analyze test failures, log defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with development teams for issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide regular status updates, and proactively clarify requirements.
• Follow automation best practices and participate in code reviews.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 4–6 years of Software Testing experience.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in WebdriverIO (WDIO) with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience in Appium for mobile automation testing.
• Strong experience in Web Automation and Manual Testing.
• Good understanding of Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity, and End-to-End (E2E) testing.
• Experience with REST API Testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Good knowledge of Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Exposure to LLMs such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or Llama.
• Experience with AI-assisted test automation and AI agents.
