About the job

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Project Management & Onboarding Delivery

  • Lifecycle Ownership: Design, oversee, and optimize the comprehensive technical onboarding and project management framework for Key Accounts from kickoff to successful site launch.
  • Timeline & Blocker Accountability: Establish clear project milestones, manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively drive launch momentum. Act as the primary owner for resolving general project blockers (e.g., resource constraints, shifting priorities) to prevent project drift.
  • Resource Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with internal product, engineering, and Merchant Success (MS) teams. Direct the strategic project flow while leveraging execution support from parallel teams for mid-market and enterprise configurations.

2. Technical Architecture, Migration & Solutioning

  • Technical Orchestration & Solution Mapping: Own the translation of enterprise business requirements into platform architectures. Map high-level solutions (integrations, ERPs, custom logic) and determine the most efficient execution path—whether via team delegation or AI-augmented workflows.
  • Migration Strategy & Oversight: Act as the ultimate custodian for complex legacy platform migrations. Maintain a deep understanding of end-to-end data mapping to ensure 100% data integrity, directing technical team members or utilizing AI-driven migration tools to execute data scripts seamlessly.
  • Technical Escalation & Resolution: Serve as the premier technical SME during onboarding. Instead of manual code debugging, diagnose root causes of API or integration bottlenecks and strategically delegate remediation to engineering resources.

3. Client-Facing Stakeholder Management

  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as the trusted, technical consultant and primary point of contact for enterprise merchant stakeholders, including CTOs, E-commerce Directors, and external development agencies.
  • Risk Mitigation & Communication: Anticipate technical and operational roadblocks early. Manage scope creep constructively, communicating technical platform constraints transparently to clients while presenting creative, viable workarounds.

Job Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • E-commerce Domain Expertise: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience acting as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Onboarding Manager, or Solutions Engineer within the e-commerce SaaS space (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce).
  • Migration & Integration Expertise: Proven track record of managing complex, high-volume data migrations and configuring custom enterprise integrations (ERP, CRM, 3PL, and custom checkouts).
  • Deep Technical Fluency: Strong working knowledge of web ecosystems, including REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, HTML/CSS, templating languages (e.g., Liquid/Stencil), DNS configurations, and data mapping.
  • Project Management Rigor: Elite proficiency with critical path and phase-gated delivery frameworks (PMP or equivalent required). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies (CSM or equivalent) a plus, for cross-functional coordination with engineering teams.
  • Client-Facing Communication: Elite verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear, actionable business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: A self-starter mindset comfortable with navigating ambiguity, solving unprecedented project blockers, and defining scalable delivery processes from scratch.

What Success Looks Like

  • Optimized Time-to-Value (TTV): Compressing the duration between contract signing and store launch without compromising on technical quality or platform stability.
  • 100% Data Fidelity: Executing high-volume, legacy platform migrations with zero data loss or catalog corruption.
  • Smooth Project Delivery: Launching stores on time, managing scope perfectly, and resolving technical/operational blockers before they impact the merchant's target go-live date.
  • Frictionless Handoffs: Ensuring a seamless post-launch transition of the live enterprise merchant over to the long-term Merchant Success and Support teams.
  • Zero Harm Migration: Ensuring that a merchant migration results in no-harm from an SEO, GEO, and conversion-rate perspective.
