Responsibilities
Product Strategy
- Partner with Product Managers to define customer problems
- Use research and data to identify opportunities
- Translate business goals into customer experiences
- Define product success metrics
UX Design
- Lead discovery and user research
- Create user journeys and experience maps
- Design workflows and interaction models
- Build prototypes and validate concepts
- Iterate based on customer feedback
UI Design
- Create polished product interfaces
- Maintain consistency through design systems
- Collaborate with engineering during implementation
- Ensure high-quality product execution
Qualifications
- Product expertise, including experience as a product specialist or product-focused designer, with the ability to align UI/UX decisions to business and user goals.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret user data, usability test results, and market insights to inform design decisions and product improvements.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting design rationale, and documenting interaction patterns.
- Customer service orientation and user empathy, ensuring designs address user needs, reduce friction, and build trust in financial decision-making.
- Sales and growth mindset, with the ability to design flows that support conversion, retention, and partner engagement without compromising user experience.
- Proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and familiarity with design systems, responsive design, and accessibility best practices.
- Experience designing consumer-facing products, ideally in fintech or financial services, with a portfolio showcasing end-to-end UX work and visual design craft.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; ability to work on-site in the New York City Metropolitan Area
