Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience Quality
- Lead quality assurance efforts for customer-facing web and mobile applications
- Ensure a seamless and consistent experience across supported browsers, mobile devices, and operating systems
Validate complete end-to-end customer journeys, including:
- Account registration and onboarding
- Identity verification (KYC)
- Authentication and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Password recovery and account security
- Customer profile management
- Account funding
- Digital payments and transfers
- Predictive loan application and servicing workflows
- Customer dashboards
- Notifications (email, SMS, and push)
Functional & Technical Testing
- Design, review, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, smoke, and end-to-end testing
- Validate REST APIs using Postman or similar tools
- Execute SQL queries to verify backend data integrity and business transactions
- Test integrations with payment providers, banking partners, identity verification services, fraud prevention platforms, and other third-party APIs
- Verify business rules, financial calculations, data consistency, and system behavior under a variety of scenarios
Test Planning & Leadership
- Review product requirements and technical designs to ensure completeness and testability
- Identify quality risks early and recommend mitigation strategies
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple Agile teams and releases
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to QA Engineers
- Lead defect triage sessions and support release readiness activities
Defect Management
- Investigate, reproduce, document, and prioritize software defects
- Collaborate closely with Software Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring defects and recommend process improvements.
- Validate fixes through targeted and regression testing
Collaboration
- Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning
- Provide clear recommendations on product quality, customer impact, and release readiness
- Advocate for customer experience and quality throughout the product development process
Continuous Improvement
- Improve QA processes, testing standards, and documentation
- Expand reusable regression test suites and contribute to automation initiatives using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools
- Support CI/CD testing practices and production validation activities
- Help establish QA best practices across engineering teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering
- Experience testing customer-facing web, mobile, and API-based applications
- Strong experience with REST API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Strong SQL skills for backend data validation
- Experience working in Agile software development environments
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Consumer FinTech, Digital Banking, Payments, Lending, E-commerce, or SaaS
- Experience contributing to UI or API automation using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience testing microservices and distributed systems
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Experience validating customer analytics and event tracking
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
