What You'll Do
Quality Engineering
- Develop comprehensive test strategies for new features and product releases
- Analyze product requirements and identify quality risks early in the development process
- Design and execute functional, integration, regression, API, database, and end-to-end testing
- Validate complex financial workflows across web and mobile applications
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues
- Partner with engineering teams to improve application reliability and maintainability
Consumer Experience Testing
- Customer onboarding and account registration
- Identity verification (KYC)
- Authentication and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Predictive loan applications
- Digital payments and transfers
- Account management
- Transaction history
- Notifications (email, SMS, push)
- Customer profile management
- Mobile and web experiences
- Customer support workflows
Technical Validation
- Execute API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Validate backend data using SQL
- Verify financial calculations such as balances, fees, repayment schedules, and transaction processing
- Test integrations with third-party providers including payment processors, banking APIs, and identity verification services
- Support testing of microservices and event-driven architectures
Automation
- Develop and maintain automated UI and API regression tests
- Contribute to automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Improve test coverage and reduce manual effort through automation
Quality Improvement
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
- Review user stories and acceptance criteria for completeness and testability
- Track, document, and prioritize software defects
- Analyze production issues and contribute to root cause investigations
- Recommend improvements to engineering processes, tooling, and testing practices
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance to design, execute, and improve testing strategies for consumer-facing products.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and Product Quality to monitor performance, identify defects, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality features.
- Candidates should possess skills in Quality Management to define quality metrics, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement across teams.
- Experience with software testing tools, automation frameworks, and analytics platforms to evaluate user experience and product reliability is highly beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in quality engineering or consumer product testing.
- Background in fintech, financial services, or consumer web/mobile products is a plus, along with familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in lending.
