Position Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving commercial growth across the UAE and wider MENA region by developing new business opportunities, expanding strategic client relationships, and positioning Seagull Maritime Security as the preferred maritime security partner within the region.
This role requires an experienced commercial professional with a strong understanding of the maritime security industry, regional shipping market, offshore energy sector, and complex commercial sales cycles. The successful candidate will identify opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements, collaborate closely with operations, and deliver sustainable revenue growth while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and client service.
Key Responsibilities
**** Business Development****
- Develop and execute the regional sales strategy aligned with the company's commercial objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities across the UAE and MENA region.
- Build long-term relationships with shipowners, ship managers, offshore operators, EPC contractors, government agencies, logistics providers, and other key industry stakeholders.
- Expand the company's client portfolio through proactive business development initiatives and strategic networking.
- Represent Seagull Maritime Security at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client events.
Account Management
- Manage and grow strategic customer accounts by identifying opportunities for additional services and long-term partnerships.
- Maintain regular engagement with existing clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Develop tailored commercial solutions based on client operational and security requirements.
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact throughout the sales lifecycle.
Commercial & Tender Management
- Lead the preparation of proposals, quotations, commercial offers, and tender submissions.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, service agreements, and framework contracts.
- Work closely with operations to ensure commercially viable and operationally deliverable solutions.
- Monitor market pricing, competitor activity, and emerging industry trends to maintain competitiveness.
Market Intelligence
- Analyse regional shipping, offshore, and maritime security market developments.
- Identify emerging risks, geopolitical developments, and regulatory changes that may impact client requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regional maritime security challenges and customer needs.
Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Senior Management to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support operational planning by providing accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
- Maintain CRM records and prepare regular commercial performance reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, International Trade, Security Management, or a related discipline.
- Additional commercial or maritime qualifications are advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of successful B2B sales or business development experience within the maritime industry.
- Proven experience in Maritime SaaS, Maritime security, offshore security, defence, shipping, marine services, or related sectors.
- Strong network of contacts within shipowners, ship managers, offshore operators, energy companies, or government organisations across the UAE and MENA region.
- Demonstrated success in securing high-value contracts and developing strategic customer relationships.
- Experience managing complex commercial negotiations and long-term service agreements.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of maritime security operations, vessel transit risk management, offshore security services, and regional security challenges.
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to develop strategic sales plans and execute business growth initiatives.
- Strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, fleet managers, procurement teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently across multiple markets.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel throughout the UAE and wider MENA region.
- International travel may be required to support key client meetings, exhibitions, and business development initiatives.
