About the job
Work From Home | Internship Certificate | Mentorship (During & After Internship) | Join a Team of 10 Developers | Flexible Hours | IST Timezone | Paid Stipend
What makes this role unique:
You will write and maintain end‑to‑end (E2E) automation tests across the full stack – Detox (mobile), Playwright (web), and backend API automation (Node.js) – for our 5 production apps. When existing tests break or are missing, you will debug and modify the underlying Expo React Native / Node.js code to enable reliable automation.
Tech you'll work with – we have 5 apps on web, iOS, and Android:
- Frontend: Expo React Native
- Backend: Node + MongoDB
- DevOps: AWS
- Automation core: Detox (mobile), Playwright (web), backend API testing (Jest / Supertest / similar)
You need to know one of these really well (mandatory): MERN or React Native or AWS.
And you must be comfortable reading/writing small code changes in Expo React Native or Node.js to unblock automation.
About the Internship
Are you passionate about automation testing across the entire stack – from mobile apps to web UIs to backend APIs? Do you want to work with Detox, Playwright, and Node.js API testing tools – and occasionally tweak application code when it gets in the way of testing?
Join our dynamic team of 10 developers and gain hands‑on experience in:
- Mobile automation – Detox for React Native (iOS & Android)
- Web automation – Playwright for our web apps
- Backend API automation – writing tests for Node.js endpoints (Jest, Supertest, or similar)
- Debugging & code modification – fixing flaky tests by updating Expo, Node.js, or API response handling
- CI/CD integration – running all automation (frontend + backend) in AWS pipelines
- Manual & exploratory testing when automation isn't feasible
You will work alongside experienced mentors, receive an Internship Certificate, and contribute to impactful projects. This is a paid internship with a stipend of ₹3,500/month, which will be increased post-probation based on performance.
What We Offer
- Work from home with flexible hours
- Monthly stipend of ₹3,500, increased after probation based on performance
- Mentorship during and after the internship

- Internship Certificate upon successful completion
- After 3 months of internship, you get to apply for paid full‑time roles within the team

- Proficiency in at least one of: MERN stack or React Native or AWS
Good to have (but NOT required):
- Prior experience with Detox, Playwright, or API testing (Jest, Supertest, Postman/Newman)
- Familiarity with Expo React Native or Node.js debugging
Availability:
- Able to join daily sync‑ups at 7 AM IST
- Open to working on Saturdays
- Able to commit an average of 5 hours per day to internship tasks

- Comfortable with both online and offline assignments
- Apply only if you are comfortable with the stipend structure described above
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain end‑to‑end (E2E) automation tests using Detox (mobile), Playwright (web), and Node.js API testing (Jest/Supertest for backend endpoints)
- Debug failing tests – modify Expo React Native or Node.js code when necessary to make automation reliable
- Run all automation (frontend + backend) in CI/CD pipelines (AWS) and report results
- Collaborate with developers to review test coverage and reduce flakiness
- Participate in code reviews and daily sync‑ups
Hiring Process
- Offline Coding Exercise – Complete an academic coding assignment (3–10 hours, depending on experience)
- Live Coding (Google Meet) – Modify and discuss your code in a live session (1–3 hours)

We do not retain, store, or share your assignment. It is used solely for evaluating your application.
After submission, we typically respond within a few days, and at most within 1 month, with next steps—either rejection or progression to the live coding round. If you are not selected, we provide constructive feedback. The entire process can take as little as 1 week or up to 1.5 months. If this timeline or the effort required feels excessive relative to the stipend offered, we understand and encourage you to apply elsewhere.
We have considered Indian labor laws in designing this assignment process.
Selection Statistics:
- 50% of applicants receive a take‑home assignment
- 10% of those submit the assignment
- 30% of submitters progress to the live coding round

You will gain significant experience in mobile (Detox), web (Playwright), backend API automation, CI/CD, and working inside a massive production codebase. Pre‑Placement Offers (PPOs) may be extended to exceptional interns in the final month, based on performance, team needs, and company capacity. 5 paid team members we have now were all interns earlier.
After 3 months of internship, you get to apply for full‑time roles within the team.
