Looker Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Looker Developer with 3–6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, LookML development, and SQL programming. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building scalable data models, creating insightful dashboards, and working with modern cloud data warehouse technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain LookML models, views, explores, and dashboards in Looker.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for large datasets.
Build interactive dashboards, reports, and KPI visualizations to support business decision-making.
Work with data engineers and analysts to integrate data from multiple sources.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting solutions.
Implement best practices for data governance, security, and role-based access control (RBAC).
Support ETL/ELT workflows and contribute to the enhancement of data pipelines.
Monitor and improve dashboard and query performance.

Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Looker BI and LookML development.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and query optimization techniques.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Experience with one or more cloud data platforms:
Google BigQuery
Snowflake
Amazon Redshift
Azure Synapse
Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
Experience creating dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics.
Understanding of data governance, security, and access management.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to performance tuning and data modeling best practices.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
