The Role

Ownpath Studios is looking for a Associate Motion Designer to help bring brands, products, and stories to life through thoughtful and engaging motion design.

You'll work across a diverse range of projects spanning brand identity systems, product launches, digital experiences, marketing campaigns, social content, and storytelling initiatives. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of motion from concept to execution, collaborate closely with designers and strategists, and use motion as a tool to create clarity, emotion, and impact.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong visual design fundamentals with a deep understanding of animation, storytelling, and motion systems.

What We're Looking For

• 1–4 years of experience in motion design, animation, visual design, or related fields
• Strong portfolio showcasing motion work across branding, digital products, campaigns, social content, and storytelling
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, pacing, transitions, visual hierarchy, and storytelling
• Excellent eye for typography, composition, colour, layout, and visual craft
• Ability to translate static designs and concepts into compelling motion experiences
• Experience creating brand films, launch videos, product explainers, social content, and marketing campaigns
• Understanding of UI motion, interaction design, Lottie, Rive, or similar motion systems is a strong advantage
• Ability to independently own projects and collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

What You'll Do

• Lead motion design execution across brand, product, marketing, and storytelling projects
• Create high-quality animations for digital products, campaigns, websites, presentations, and social platforms
• Develop product explainers, launch assets, brand films, and motion systems
• Collaborate with designers, strategists, engineers, and clients to shape creative concepts and narratives
• Establish motion guidelines and scalable animation systems across projects
• Contribute to pitches, presentations, and creative direction discussions
• Stay current with emerging tools, techniques, and trends in motion design
