Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solutions Architect / Engagement Lead to help drive strategic client engagements from discovery through delivery.

This is a client-facing leadership role ideal for someone who combines deep infrastructure expertise with strong executive communication and consulting skills.

You will work directly with enterprise clients, partners, and GoCloudIQ leadership to:

• lead technical discovery sessions
• architect modernization solutions
• develop proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)
• guide project delivery
• support pre-sales activities
• serve as a trusted advisor during strategic infrastructure initiatives

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-visibility consulting engagements and enjoys solving complex infrastructure and modernization challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Strategic Advisory

• Lead infrastructure and cloud discovery workshops
• Conduct executive-level technical discussions
• Assess current-state environments and modernization opportunities
• Serve as a trusted advisor for infrastructure, cloud, AI readiness, and cyber resilience initiatives
• Translate business objectives into practical technical strategies
• Build strong long-term client relationships

Architecture & Solution Design

• Design hybrid cloud and modernization architectures
• Develop migration strategies for VMware and legacy infrastructure environments
• Create high-level and low-level solution designs
• Provide guidance around resiliency, disaster recovery, security, and operational readiness
• Support AI infrastructure readiness initiatives and modernization roadmaps
• Collaborate with engineering teams on implementation strategy

Pre-Sales & Proposal Development

• Assist with opportunity qualification and technical discovery
• Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, architecture diagrams, and technical presentations
• Collaborate with vendor and channel partners
• Support strategic client presentations and workshops
• Help shape GoCloudIQ service offerings and delivery methodologies

Delivery Leadership

• Provide technical oversight throughout project execution
• Coordinate with engineering and project delivery resources
• Help maintain delivery quality, consistency, and client satisfaction
• Identify risks, dependencies, and remediation strategies

* Ensure engagements align with both technical and business objectives

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud architecture, or consulting
• Strong background in VMware, hybrid cloud, and infrastructure modernization
• Experience with one or more public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Experience leading technical client engagements and workshops
• Strong understanding of networking, security, storage, and disaster recovery concepts
• Experience creating architecture documentation, proposals, and SOWs
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both executives and technical teams
• Strong ownership mentality and consulting mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VMware migration and modernization initiatives
• Experience working within consulting firms, VARs, integrators, or enterprise IT organizations
• Familiarity with AI infrastructure, GPU environments, or HPE Private Cloud AI solutions
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, or cloud-native modernization
• Understanding of Zero Trust, cyber resilience, and security architecture principles
• Existing relationships within infrastructure or cloud partner ecosystems are a plus

Certifications are a plus:

Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, capabilities, and engagement structure.
