About this Role

We’re seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead CaptivateIQ’s engineering organization through this next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the SVP of R&D, this role is responsible for scaling execution, building world-class teams, and operationalizing engineering in support of product, platform, and enterprise goals.

This is a key executive role for a strong operator and people leader who excels at balancing rapid iteration with foundational investment, technical strategy with organizational design, and cross-functional alignment with engineering excellence.

You’ll be the connective tissue between vision and delivery—helping scale a product-driven culture with a bias for action.

  • Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform and infrastructure investments
  • Drive technical decision-making that supports AI and data initiatives

Organizational Design & People Leadership

  • Scale a high-performing org across product, platform, and AI domains
  • Manage and mentor engineering leaders and managers; build a deep bench
  • Shape and uphold a culture of ownership, autonomy, velocity, and inclusion

Cross-Functional & Executive Partnership

  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Finance, Customer Experience, Sales, and Marketing to align engineering with GTM and customer success
  • Serve as a credible partner to enterprise customers, both pre- and post-sale
  • Contribute to executive strategy, budgeting, planning, and headcount forecasting

Innovation & Delivery

  • Support rapid 0→1 product iteration while maintaining quality and learning velocity
  • Lead platform efforts that enable multiple products to scale on shared infrastructure
  • Work closely with the SVP and co-founders to operationalize technical vision and ensure execution excellence

Requirements

  • 10+ years of engineering leadership in high-growth SaaS environments
  • Proven success scaling product and platform engineering orgs (100+ engineers)
  • Experience leading both 0→1 and scaling phases of product development
  • Strong track record managing directors and building diverse, empowered, distributed teams
  • Clear communicator and collaborator across product, GTM, and executive functions
  • High technical fluency—can challenge and support platform and AI discussions

Benefits

  • (US-ONLY) 100% of medical, dental, and vision covered including 75% for dependents
  • Flexible vacation days and quarterly mental health days so you can recharge
  • (US-ONLY) 401k plan to participate in and save towards the future
