Senior Security Test Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of security testing methodologies, tools, and techniques. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies to ensure the security and integrity of our systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
Security Testing:
Conduct thorough security assessments, including penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and code reviews.
Utilize a variety of security tools and techniques to identify and exploit vulnerabilities.
Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to prioritize security efforts.
Vulnerability Management:
Track and manage vulnerabilities identified during security testing.
Work with development teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities.
Develop and maintain vulnerability management processes and procedures.
Security Architecture Review:
Review system and application designs to identify potential security weaknesses.
Provide recommendations for improving security architecture and design.
Incident Response:
Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
Conduct post-incident analysis to identify lessons learned and improve security practices.
Security Awareness:
Promote security awareness within the organization through training and education.
Develop and deliver security training programs to employees at all levels.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in security testing and penetration testing.
Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
Proficiency in using security testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus).
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CEH) preferred.
