The impact you’ll own
As Business Development Manager, you will lead and oversee the business development strategy targeting financial services and real estate clients in the EMEA and US markets. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of 3 BDRs, optimising lead qualification, coordinating with the marketing team, and driving both inbound and outbound sales efforts to achieve significant revenue growth.
You will oversee the performance and development of the business development team and track and report on key performance indicators to meet and exceed growth targets. While being hands on, you will not have an individual target, rather you will be targeted on team performance. You will build relationships with key prospects, understanding their unique challenges and aligning solutions accordingly. You will partner with the sales team to transition qualified leads smoothly.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated success in a hands on business development role for SaaS products, with a track record achieving or exceeding on sales qualified leads targets.
- Skills and passion to lead a junior business development team of 3, potentially growing the team in future.
- Strong skills using HubSpot CRM and experience with prospecting tools (such as Outreach and Gong.io).
- Ability to optimise sales processes, with a history of creating innovative strategies for business development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a background working closely with BDR, Marketing and Product teams.
Desirable Skills
- A consultative approach to selling complex solutions tailored to client needs.
- Proven ability to build long-term relationships with stakeholders – we sell across financial and real estate sectors.
- Comfort with a fast-paced, evolving industry in a start up environment, with ability to pivot strategies based on new trends.
- Fluency in additional European languages can be a significant asset for cross-market communications.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- An basic understanding of climate risk and the implications on financial markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
