About Us:

Position Summary:
As a Technical Content Writer Intern, you will work closely with our engineering, product, and marketing teams of querydeck.io produce clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation. You will have the opportunity to learn how to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. This internship provides a chance to build your writing portfolio while gaining hands-on experience in the tech industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Write and edit various types of technical content, including but not limited to user guides, product documentation, blog posts, knowledge base articles, whitepapers, and case studies.

Research & Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, developers, and subject matter experts to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand content.

Content Optimization: Ensure that content is optimized for clarity, accuracy, readability, and SEO where applicable.

Review & Edit: Proofread and edit content to ensure that it adheres to company style guides, tone, and technical accuracy.

Documentation Maintenance: Assist in updating and maintaining existing documentation to reflect changes in product features or services.

Audience Understanding: Write content that is tailored to the specific needs of different audiences (e.g., developers, product managers, end-users).

Feedback Implementation: Incorporate feedback from senior team members and stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of content.

Qualifications:

Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in English, Journalism, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Writing Skills: Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

Technical Aptitude: A basic understanding of technical concepts (e.g., software development, cloud computing, IT infrastructure) is a plus, but not required.

Attention to Detail: Ability to catch errors and inconsistencies in both technical and written content.

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Adaptability: Willingness to learn about new technologies and processes.

Team Player: Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

Must Have: Experience with Hasura / GraphQL and rest apis

Experience with documentation tools like Confluence, GitHub, or Markdown.

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or other web technologies.

SEO knowledge and experience with writing for search engines.
