Who We WantThe Credit Analyst will be an integral part of the Credit team, closely collaborating with the Team Lead, Senior Credit Analyst, Business Development, and Accounting teams. This role is responsible for managing and reviewing incoming credit requests and supporting the credit risk management process. The Credit Analyst will play a critical role in mitigating financial risk through careful evaluation, consistent communication, and following of the company’s credit policy.
What You’ll Do
- Review and assess customer credit requests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform credit analysis using available financial data, industry insights, and credit scoring tools to make informed decisions.
- Approve or escalate credit requests based on established credit policies and thresholds.
- Communicate with BizDev representatives regarding outstanding balances and credit decisions.
- Maintain ownership of internal credit documents, updating them as needed for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with BizDev and new customers to verify contacts, billing addresses, preferred billing methods, and ensure the profile is complete.
- Perform regular audits as assigned by the Credit & Collections Team Lead.
- Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance credit management efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business required
- 2+ years of experience as a business credit analyst.
- Experience in either transportation shipping or sales in a 3PL environment preferred.
- Oracle NetSuite experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a team
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
