We’re seeking a dynamic and well-connected Business Development expert based in China to drive our growth across Asia. You’re deeply embedded in Asia’s Web3 and crypto community, having built influential relationships and a reputation for sourcing and executing impactful deals. You have a technical understanding of DeFi products and the business acumen to connect with the right partners and users.
You’re a big believer in Bitcoin’s future yet open to partnerships and collaboration across the broader crypto ecosystem.
In this role, you will drive user acquisition and revenue growth in China and Asia by building strategic partnerships and integrations for Xverse, expanding our footprint into new spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Drive user acquisition and revenue growth by identifying, securing, and managing partnerships within the Asia region, with a strong focus on Mandarin speaking regions.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in the Web3 and crypto communities, focusing on exchanges, platforms, developers, and influencers to enhance Xverse's presence and influence.
- Identify high-impact business opportunities, lead negotiations, and manage end-to-end deals
- Act as an ambassador for Xverse, promoting the wallet and other Xverse offerings through strategic collaborations, co-marketing, and integration opportunities.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to align partnerships with product capabilities and user needs, ensuring seamless integration and maximum impact.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in Web3 and DeFi within China and the broader Asia market.
- Develop and execute a regional BD strategy that aligns with company goals, identifying new market opportunities and optimizing existing ones.
- Attend and speak at industry conferences, webinars, and community meet-ups to raise awareness about Xverse and cultivate new partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Native in Mandarin in all forms of communication, able to understand culture nuances in the Asia region, including market regulations and best practices in the Web3 and crypto industries - this is a *must-have *
- 5+ years of business development experience, at least 2 years specifically within the Web3 or crypto industries, with a demonstrated track record of successful deal-making and relationship-building.
- Extensive connections within the Chinese Web3 and crypto communities, including relationships with exchanges, DeFi projects, and key opinion leaders.
- A solid understanding of DeFi products and Bitcoin, with the ability to articulate Xverse’s value proposition to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to think strategically and leverage data and insights to inform business development decisions and drive market growth.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating complex deals and building partnerships that drive mutual value for all parties involved.
- Effective Communication Skills: Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment, with a proactive approach to achieving goals and taking ownership of business growth in the region.
