In this role, you’ll get to:
Play a key role in HubSpot’s growth strategy
- Lead the People side of HubSpot’s M&A activity, including end-to-end due diligence, integration planning and integration execution
- Serve as a collaborative, cross-functional partner who works closely across the Corporate Development, People, Legal, Finance, and Employee Tech teams
- Lead a cross-functional People team to achieve the stated business objectives of each deal and coordinate all M&A activities with internal and target stakeholders
- Establish relationships with and manage third-party due diligence vendors
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and Talent & Leadership Development to ensure seamless coordination of employee and contractor onboarding and requisition management.
- Partner with People Business Partners, Internal Communications, and functional specialists on employee integration activities including communications, retention strategy, employee information sessions and total rewards integration.
- Define post-integration success metrics and action plans to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the people-side of the deal
- This role does not have any direct reports but will project-lead cross-functional teams on a deal-by-deal basis
Build up M&A capabilities within the People team
- Develop M&A guiding principles, process documents, project plans, templates and checklists used in the deal process
- Run retrospective sessions with internal stakeholders to determine areas for improvement
- Drive M&A skills development within the People team
Be an active Strategic Projects team member
- Support other projects on the People team as needed
- Help improve HubSpot’s project management and change management approaches
We are looking for people who:
- Have proven experience on the People (HR) side of M&A deals that impact global, cross-functional teams, with deep understanding of the People function
- Is comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to work independently. Ability to proactively achieve goals and strategies under shifting conditions and with different tasks, job responsibilities, and people
- Has the ability to exercise sound and efficient judgment when managing complex decisions, creating new processes and utilizing data and systems to drive decision making
- Has an incredibly high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Can easily flex between thinking strategically and rolling up their sleeves to get stuff done
- Is comfortable working at a fast pace with aggressive deadlines
- Is a natural communicator (written, verbal, and presentation skills) and relationship builder to influence across all personalities Are exceptionally strong communicators
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Demonstrate high accountability and ownership

Cash compensation range: 150000-312000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
