About the role

We’re looking for someone who loves building beautiful, intuitive UIs with an ability to integrate them with the backend. You’ll help create the face of the product and ensure a smooth, highly functional user experience.

Frontend: Deep expertise with Next.js, React, and TypeScript, with a strong eye towards modern design (we do not yet have a design team. We rely on modern standards like Tailwind & Shadcn to build strong functional user interfaces with minimal overhead).

Backend: Experience with Python and Golang, ideally with a track record in building scalable APIs, backend frameworks, & multi-tenant systems.

AI/ML: Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks; experience in designing systems that interface with AI components is a plus.

We’re a small group of self-starters with an ownership mindset, able to independently identify opportunities, set priorities, and drive initiatives with minimal direction. We’re committed to modern engineering best practices—no outdated tech or unexpected hurdles, just a clean, standard environment ready for growth. As a senior member, you’ll have a high level of influence in shaping our technical direction, tooling, and workflows, and your input and expertise will directly impact our success.

Our product intends to touch every facet of the unique AI development experience so everyday we get to work on different parts of the chain. That can change rapidly from data workflows, to API & authentication design, to UI/UX, to scaling & infrastructure, and everything in between. The anchor in an environment subject to constant evolution is driving results for our users. Well written code (and we’ll expect that) is only as good as our ability to deliver real value for the people who use our product.

Our goal is to help businesses cut through the smoke and mirrors of AI to realize (or not) its true value. Sandgarden is a runtime engine that provides a rapid way to prototype, iterate, and deploy AI integrations.
