Co-founders Alex (CEO) and Tennison (CTO) met in San Francisco and started building Truewind in November 2022. Alex is a 2x YC founder and ex venture capital investor. Tennison has spent 10+ years building software at Flexport, Pinterest, and Alibaba.

Founded on the heels of ChatGPT, we are in a unique position to rethink accounting and finance workflows from the bottom up. Using the latest generative AI technologies, we’re building an AI-native copilot to enhance accountants & financial analysis everywhere.

Your Role

• Architect and develop software solutions that leverages AI technology (LLM) to reimagine traditional bookkeeping and finance processes.
• Collaborate with fellow founding team members to define our vision, strategy, and product roadmap.
• Build and manage the technical infrastructure required to support our services, including databases, servers, and APIs.
• Ensure the security, privacy, and compliance of our technology and data.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and finance to continually improve our product offerings.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, data scientists, and developers as the startup grows.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive user adoption.

You Have

• Appetite for medium-risk-high-reward working environment.

• Passion for developing and improving customer-facing products.
• High standards for what is considered clean code and clean architecture.
• 5+ years experience in building web applications using javascript/typescript and frameworks such as Express.js/Nest.js/Next.js.
• 5+ years experience in working with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres.
• Experience in working with event-driven applications and async I/Os.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Strong ability to operate autonomously.
• Previous founder / founding engineer experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in building LLM applications using OpenAI API and vector databases is strongly preferred.
