Founding Game Developer (Unreal Engine, C++)

The primary responsibilities of the Founding Game Developer include:

Involvement in all aspects of project development from the initial concept phase through the final testing.
Contribute/participate in the creative and development process for the entirety of the game production.
Design, build, implement, and maintain core game systems and tools across all platforms.
Collaborate with all departments on game concepts/production, and
Troubleshooting/fix issues.
Develop and maintain the online servers for the game.
Manage team of developers and contractors to accomplish certain tasks.
Innovate and build tools for our pipeline and product portfolio.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, game development or software engineering
• Proven work experience completing a full video game life-cycle
• Proficiency in C++ and other programming languages such as Python or C#
• Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine, blueprint scripting, publishing with Unreal, and how C++ interacts with UE5
• A passion for coding and a dedication to creating AAA quality games
• Excellent knowledge of APIs and build libraries
• Proficiency in server development for hosting online games
• Knowledge of blockchain gaming trends and Web3
• Knowledge of the latest gaming trends and technologies
• Able to work as part of a team, great communication skills
• Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and act as a leader at the company
• Ability to solve complicated problems using best practices

Experience with blockchain and smart contracts development is a major plus! As is experience with Unity.

Ultimately the role of a founder member will evolve and change over time - and the idea is to keep you in a position innovating within our processes and products while others do most of the coding work. Early on in the company you will be handling most if not all of the engineering, alongside 2 other founders that will be handling all of the game art and co-designing the game and products with you.
