About the job
Wild Captives Operations Lead (potential cofounder role)
Wild Captives is looking for an operations expert to join our mission-driven startup with a ny based fitness studio / HQ at an early stage. We’re building a modern “Boy Scouts for adults,” empowering city dwellers with hands-on skills like archery, fire-starting, and first aid. Pre-launch, we’ve already grown a 1M+ audience across platforms, launched a 10k SF archery range in Brooklyn, hosted sold-out retreats, and gained major press. Now, we’re poised for rapid growth and ready to build a core founding team.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Operations Lead to drive the success of Wild Captives by scaling our studio operations, expanding product offerings, and enhancing customer experience . You’ll be a key founding team member.
Core Responsibilities
- Revenue & Market Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue, optimize operations, expand product lines, and reach new markets.
- Studio Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations at our Brooklyn archery range, establishing SOPs and quality benchmarks for consistent customer experiences.
- Product & Supply Chain Management: Build efficient systems for product operations and manage supply chains, with full P&L responsibility—from sourcing to fulfillment.
- Digital & Customer Experience: Manage POS/booking system integrations; train staff and uphold quality standards.
- Expansion Planning & Execution: Develop scalable systems for physical location growth, with a goal of launching additional sites within 12 months.
- Financial Management & Strategy: Control expenses and investments, align with growth targets, and support strategic fundraising.
Suggested Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ Years in Operations: Proven experience in fitness studio operations, DTC operations, or early-stage startups, with a track record of scaling systems and driving revenue growth.
- Supply Chain & Logistics Expertise: Strong background in managing supply chains, global sourcing, quality control, and logistics, with full P&L responsibility.
- Financial & Analytical Skills: Skilled in financial management, including budgeting and expense oversight, with experience supporting fundraising and strategic growth.
- Mission Alignment: Genuine interest in the outdoors, mental wellness, and community engagement.
- Fundraising experience is great.
Compensation: Significant equity stake with a competitive salary potential as we scale. This is an opportunity for a committed partner who values building from the ground up.
