Position Overview
We are looking for a Growth Manager who can take charge of acquiring users for Tomo’s MVP phase and beyond. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on experimentation, thrives in dynamic environments, and is focused on rapid, scalable user growth. While working with ESL programs is a key strategy, we are seeking a versatile growth hacker who can explore and execute any and all effective means of user acquisition, from content marketing and influencer partnerships to unconventional growth tactics.
Your primary mission: grow Tomo’s user base by any means necessary, build scalable acquisition channels, and gather critical insights that will shape the future of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
User Acquisition & Growth Hacking
- Identify Growth Channels: Explore and execute creative, data-driven user acquisition strategies—whether it’s through ESL programs, influencer marketing, paid advertising, or partnerships with non-traditional educational platforms.
- Leverage ESL Programs: Identify and build relationships with ESL programs in the U.S. as one method of acquiring a diverse, engaged user base for Tomo’s MVP.
- Experimentation: Design and run rapid experiments across multiple channels (SEO, SEM, content, social media, PR stunts, referral programs, etc.) to find cost-effective and scalable user acquisition methods.
- Performance Marketing: Execute paid campaigns across channels such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more to drive targeted traffic and convert them into users.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use analytics to continuously monitor acquisition funnel performance, optimize campaigns, and scale what works.
Partnership Development
- Collaborate with Institutions: Develop and maintain relationships with ESL programs, universities, and other educational bodies to source users and drive early adoption.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build partnerships with influencers, content creators, and other platforms that align with Tomo’s mission to expand our reach.
Onboarding & Retention
- User Journey Optimization: Design seamless onboarding flows to convert leads into active users and ensure a smooth experience during the MVP phase.
- Feedback Loops: Gather feedback from early users to improve product-market fit and adjust acquisition strategies based on data and feedback.
Marketing & Promotion
- Content & SEO: Lead content marketing efforts (blogging, video content, case studies) to drive organic traffic and nurture leads.
- Community Building: Cultivate an online presence through social media, email campaigns, and community-building efforts to increase brand visibility.
- PR & Events: Organize workshops, webinars, and online events to showcase Tomo’s value proposition, fostering deeper engagement with potential users.
Reporting & Optimization
- Monitor KPIs: Track performance metrics, including CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and retention rates to ensure continuous optimization and improvement.
- Iterate & Improve: Regularly optimize campaigns, messaging, and targeting based on real-time data to drive better outcomes.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Proven Growth Experience: Demonstrated experience in growth hacking, digital marketing, or user acquisition, ideally in a startup environment.
- Data-Driven Marketer: Ability to analyze growth data, A/B test, and iterate on campaigns based on results.
- Familiarity with ESL Programs: Experience or understanding of how ESL programs operate and their student demographics is a plus but not mandatory.

- Creativity & Curiosity: You’re a problem solver who loves experimenting with out-of-the-box strategies and finding unique ways to drive user growth.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with experience using growth and performance marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Amplitude.
