Chief Product and Technical Officer

Compensation: The initial compensation for this role will be in the form of equity. Once the company secures equity funding, which is expected within the next 3-4 months, the candidate will receive a competitive market salary in addition to equity.

Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Product and Technical Officer (CPTO) to lead our organization's product development and technology strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of academic expertise, extensive product management experience, and a strong background in software development, coupled with proven leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy and Vision
   o Define and execute the company's product strategy aligned with business goals
   o Lead product ideation, development, and lifecycle management
   o Anticipate market trends and customer needs to drive innovation

2. Technology Leadership
   o Oversee all aspects of technology development and implementation
   o Ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of our technical infrastructure
   o Stay abreast of emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on our business

3. Team Leadership and Development
   o Lead, mentor, and inspire product and engineering teams
   o Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
   o Recruit and retain top talent in product and engineering roles

4. Cross-functional Collaboration
   o Work closely with other C-level executives to align product and technology strategies with overall business objectives
   o Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure product-market fit and customer satisfaction

5. Operational Excellence
   o Optimize product development and engineering processes
   o Manage budgets and resources effectively
   o Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product and engineering teams

6. Strategic Planning
   o Contribute to the company's long-term strategic planning
   o Identify opportunities for growth through product innovation and technological advancements

7. External Representation
   o Act as a thought leader in the industry, representing the company at conferences and events
   o Build and maintain relationships with key partners, customers, and stakeholders

Qualifications

Education
• Ph.D. in Computer Science from a recognized institution
• 10 years of product management experience

Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in product management roles
• Minimum 10 years of experience in software development roles
• Proven track record in senior leadership positions, preferably in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment

Reporting Structure
• Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
• Direct reports include VP of Product Management, VP of Engineering, and other senior product and technology leaders

Initial Compensation will be Equity Package and then post financing, a competitive market salary and comprehensive benefits package.
