Shop technician

As Shop Technician, you will be a vital team member responsible for performing daily tasks in the steel and wood door shop. Utilizing core skills to work on shop machines such as an edge machine, power tools, table saw & lite CNC machinery. Primary material we work on is 16 ga steel frames, 18 ga steel doors, and architectural wood doors. Understanding materials such as cold rolled steel, species of wood such as oak and birch are essential in performing tasks in this position. Daily tasks include, prepping wood or steel doors with window cut out, lock, hing and other preps to make the door functional. Assist in unloading, staging and packing of Steel & Wood Doors & frames during varies stages of production. Being certified in sit down forklift is a plus. Keeping a clean work space and working well with others is a must. Position must follow all OSHA regulated rules. This is a non-union position that works Monday through Friday, no nights or weekends.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience in wood & steel material, design, and fabrication.
Quality skills and knowledge in operating of shop machinery.
Good organizational and communication skills with fellow employees.
Cheerful, helpful disposition when dealing with fellow employees.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
