DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our team at our Montreal, Quebec office. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining user-facing features using React.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL to deliver an exceptional user experience. You will work closely with designers, backend engineers, product managers, and clinicians to enhance our modern web-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Write code and review code enhancing our EHR user interface
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: work closely with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups into functional, high-quality code
• Stay current with technology trends: keep up-to-date with the latest developments in frontend technologies and JavaScript ecosystem
• Write secure, HIPAA-compliant software
• Work closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and quality engineers to create a delightful user experience
• Contribute to the engineering culture and hiring

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• 3+ years of experience as a Frontend Software Engineer
• Experience with our frontend stack (React/TypeScript/NextJS/GraphQL)
• Rigorous unit testing and use of best practices
• Strong design sensibility and the ability to make informed product decisions
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience with startups and VC-funded companies
• Experience in health tech or a related industry
• Experience shipping and maintaining a large software system
• Experience with Ruby
• Good knowledge of computer security
