Partner (qualified solicitor / lawyer or accountant with additional qualifications)
- Partner for a regulated advisory and corporate finance practice (UK solicitor or UK accountant, specialized in finance practice, holding formal qualification/s SRA or CCAB meeting FCA/PRA compliance).
Responsibilities
The Partner is responsible for advice, origination, relations and management for a range of clients, fundraisings, investments, vehicles and fund instruments.
- Cultivate, build and maintain strategic and tactical relationships with relevant clients, capital providers, investors, partners and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and implement fundraising plans including project plans and strategic networking development across UK, Europe and worldwide to thoughtfully identify fundraising opportunities.
- Drive investor relations: build and maintain relationships with a large group of suited / vetted investors and partners by keeping relevant stakeholders well informed.
- Advise and guide on fundraising (equity and lending), acquisitions / M&A, divestments and a range of transactions.
- Advise and guide clients on listing and admission to formal financial markets (e.g. LSE, AIM, AQSE, etc) with a focus on requirements, processes and compliance.
- Advice, preparation and review of fundraising and investment documents: term sheets, shareholders agreements, bond and share issues (prospectus) and lending / loan contracts.
- Management and oversight of legal and compliance matters.
- Manage, review and supervise compliance on existing and prospective investors: investor relations and communications, financial promotions, document provisions and fundraises (e.g. AML, KYC, due diligence, etc).
- Identify and mitigate conflicts of interest advising on informing relevant parties and preparing disclosures.
- Review and supervise investment processes, policies and procedures.
- Manage legal and compliance functions including preparing regulatory filings / returns (e.g. HMRC, LSE, AIM, FCA, AIFMD, UCITS, etc) and ensure timely submission.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimun 8-year experience. Qualified, detail-oriented, process-driven, and have a genuine desire to learn and grow in a collaborative team-based setting. The successful candidate should have:
- Minium 8 years of proven relevant professional experience in advisory, corporate finance and institutional fundraising. A progressive career holding key finance and senior management roles.
- Qualified solicitor / lawyer (SRA) or accountant (ACCA, ACA, etc) with additional qualifications (CISI, ICAEW, etc) compliant with FCA and PRA.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of financial markets, finance products and financial services.
- Highly experience networker with the ability to leverage personal and professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Solid experience in advising clients and leading fundraising campaigns including management of fundraising events, processes and documentation.
- Strong team player with a desire to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
- Exceptional ability to independently manage disparate workstreams.
