About the job
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the benchmarking and ideation phase of the powertrain and drivetrain design development, and validation; developing the entire vehicle layout visually which will be prototyped later for further testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that vehicle design meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
System Development and Integration:
Design and develop vehicle systems, focusing on integration of powertrain, chassis, drivetrain components.
Collaborate with design, software, and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Develop and validate system architectures and component specifications.
Requirements Management:
Define and manage system-level requirements, ensuring they align with vehicle performance goals.
Conduct requirement analysis and translate them into actionable engineering tasks.
System Modelling:
Develop vehicle level models, subsystem level models and validate calculations and vehicle targets.
Analyze simulation test data to ensure system performance, safety, and reliability.
Intiate component selection and design changes based on simulation results, sizing calculations and design aesthetics requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software) to integrate and optimize vehicle systems.
Support project management in planning and tracking system development activities.
Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, and safety analyses.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineeing or related field.
Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics, control systems, and mechatronics.
