Mechanical Engineer

Key qualities we're looking for:

• Design, validate, and optimize chassis structural parts like main frame, subframe, swing arm, handlebar, sheet metal/ cast mounting brackets for suspension, brakes, drivetrain, wheels, and tires etc.
• MUST Design and optimize for Quality and ensure QCD targets are met for the chassis frame design
• Interpreting the outcomes of simulations and testing for improvement in designs.
• Work with cross functional teams including simulations, program, production, testing, manufacturing engineering, suppliers, etc. on development of chassis structural parts.
• Knowledge in chassis frame engineering in 4W automobiles
• Understanding on vehicle dynamics and static load parameters.
• Proficient in hand calculation on static as well as fatigue condition for all loading parts with respect to strength, stiffness, and weight.
• Knowledge and experience with plastics is a major plus
• Engineering Materials and their applications
• Knowledge of GD&T, stack tolerance and fit analysis
• Benchmarking for New Vehicle Development
• Should be able to do tolerance stack up and GD&T is a plus
• Knowledge in any of the following is required: Catia v5, Siemens NX, SolidWorks

Our company structure is not meant to be a corporate structure. We do have specific roles and positions but this is only to ensure everyone has a clear objective of work. When we work, there is no hierarchy, no office politics, and no nonsense.

This position would be semi-remote. This means that you can work from home but may be expected to visit our warehouse in Bangalore from time to time for taking measurements, monitoring fabrication of sections, analysis, and for assembly. We do have a mechanic team but they may require guidance from time-to-time as ours is a custom design. Since the role is semi-remote, one of the highly values skills would be communication skills.
