The Co-Op
We are currently accepting applications for a Sales & Business Development Co-Op for the spring of 2025. The primary responsibility of this Co-Op is to assist our Sales Team with business development and growth opportunities through our FDMC (Food, Drug, Mass, Club) retailers. You will thrive in this role if you are proficient in Excel, detail-oriented, and a self-starter who can work both independently and cross-functionally.
Individuals selected for our Co-Op Program will actively contribute to our company’s growth while benefiting from hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development. Our Co-Op program is based five days a week in the Seaport District of Boston from January to June. Throughout the spring, co-ops will work on impactful projects that directly influence our brand’s progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Data: Utilize Excel, Nielsen, and IRI data to conduct in-depth analysis, uncovering key insights and trends that drive strategic decision-making and storytelling.
- Manage Broker Relationships: Collaborate daily with brokers to streamline communication, ensure timely follow-ups, and meet project deadlines, fostering strong professional relationships.
- Foster Creative Solutions: Contribute to the development of product assortment strategies and design engaging in-store displays, enhancing visual appeal and driving retail partner success.
- Conduct Competitor Analysis: Perform comprehensive market research to monitor competitors, identifying opportunities and strategies to maintain and enhance our market position.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and Science & Innovation to support and integrate business development efforts across the organization.
- Engage with Retail Buyers: Participate in meetings with retail partners to observe and learn about the sales process, gaining hands-on experience in pitching and negotiation.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e., work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).
- Proficiency in analyzing data, using tools such as Excel, to generate insights and make informed decisions.
- Effective collaboration and teamwork skills to work cross-functionally with various departments.
