Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background working in a complex domain, and will have a proven track record of success. This role requires a deep understanding of backend technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain internal platform services and APIs to support various product features and business requirements.
2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth integration of backend services with user-facing applications.
3. Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
4. Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure integrations with third-party systems and APIs to enable seamless data exchange and functionality.
5. Identify opportunities for performance optimization, scalability improvements, and system enhancements within the integration and platform infrastructure.
6. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and availability of integration services and platform components.
7. Experience with HL7/FHIR is a huge plus.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience (6+ years) in backend development with expertise in building integrations and platform services
• Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, MongoDB, SQL, noSQL, AWS (or other cloud providers like GCP or Azure)
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
• Experience in Microservices
• Experience working in a complex domain, ideally U.S. Healthcare
• English fluency required
